Committees

Viewing committee members

  1. Once logged onto SUMS if you can click onto "groups" on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. This will bring up a drop down menu. Then select "committees" from this list.
  3. This will then bring up a list of all the current committee members.
  4. If you are wanting to look at previous, expired or positions then these can be selected from the tabs at the top.

Modifying committee members

  1. Once logged onto SUMS if you can click onto "groups" on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. This will bring up a drop down menu. Then select "committees" from this list.
  3. This will then bring up a list of all the current committee members.
  4. Once the current committee member is found click the corresponding "modify" button.
  5. Make any changes needed then click submit.

Removing a committee member from position

  1. Once logged onto SUMS if you can click onto "groups" on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. This will bring up a drop down menu. Then select "committees" from this list.
  3. This will then bring up a list of all the current committee members.
  4. Once the current committee member is found click the corresponding "expire" button.

Adding a committee member

  1. Once logged onto SUMS if you can click onto "groups" on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. This will bring up a drop down menu. Then select "committees" from this list.
  3. This will then bring up a list of all the current committee members.
  4. Click on "+committee" in the top right hand corner of the page.
  5. Select the group in the group field.
  6. Select the position needed.
  7. Enter their student number.
  8. Enter the dates the member will be in position for.
  9. Click submit.

Adding a committee position

  1. Once logged onto SUMS if you can click onto "groups" on the left-hand side of the page.
  2. This will bring up a drop down menu. Then select "committees" from this list.
  3. This will then bring up a list of all the current committee members.
  4. Click on the "+position"
  5. Add the position name and click the active button.
  6. Decide what permissions you would like committee members of that position to have on the dashboard.

How do I archive a Committee Position?

  1. Once logged onto SUMS, select 'Groups' on the left-hand side of the page
  2. Select 'Committees' from the drop down menu.
  3. Click the 'Positions' tab.
  4. Within 'Positions', locate the position that you would like to archive.
  5. Once located, selected the orange 'Archive' button alongside your position.
  6. Once actioned, this position will fall into the 'Archived Positions' tab.

How do I view all archived Committee Positions?

  1. Within 'Positions', select the 'Archived Positions' tab.
  2. Within this tab, you will see a list of all current archived positions.

How do I unarchive a Committee Position?

  1. Within the 'Archived Positions' section, all positions within this tab will now have an 'Unarchive' button located on the right-hand side;
  2. Locate the position required and select the 'Unarchive' button.
  3. This position will then fall back into the 'Committee Positions' tab.
