Submitting an Advert

Adverts can be found within your main Student Dashboard, from where you can view your existing Adverts and submit new ones.

  1. Click ‘New Advert’ to submit a new application;
  2. Select your required Advert type from the given list;
  3. Enter a title for your advert, and complete the remaining fields for that advert type (fields that require completion will be marked with an asterisk):

    1. When adding images, select which you would like to be the cover image for your advert;
    2. When adding a monetary value enter, ensure you enter this to 2 decimal places;
  4. Ensure you agree to any policies/documents that have been included at the bottom of your application before proceeding;

  5. Click ‘Submit’ to submit your advert:

    1. Auto-approval – if your Union has turned auto-approval on, your advert will go live immediately, for 2 weeks;
    2. Staff Review – alternatively, your Union will review your submission and either approve or decline your advert. (They may also make changes to the content prior to approving your submission; a notice will appear when viewing your approved advert to confirm if any modifications have been made.)

Statuses

When viewing your existing adverts, a status will be listed against each:

  • Active – you will receive an email once your advert has been approved, and this will go live for 2 weeks; the expiry date will be confirmed alongside the status. An ‘Extend Advert’ button will appear 3 days prior to the expiry.
  • Pending Review – from here you can view the details of your advert or remove it while awaiting approval.
  • Declined – Review Required – you will receive an email if your advert has been declined; click ‘View’ to see if any feedback has been left, and to modify and resubmit your application (or this can be removed it needed).

Can I modify an Advert while it is live?

You can modify an Advert whilst it is live, however this will deactivate the advert and be re-sent to your Student Union to review and re-approve.

If your Student Union has allowed auto-approval, any changes you make to a live advert will update automatically upon submission, and re-start the 2-week advertisement period.

Manage Interest

Once your advert has gone live, people will be able to register their interest in your advert.

An exclamation icon will show next to the ‘Manage Interest’ button when you have received a new interest.

Click ‘Manage Interest’ against the relevant advert to view a list of those who have registered their interest in our product, along with their email address for you to get in contact.

Click ‘Mark as Seen’ to mark all new interests as viewed. When you go to view your interest again, only new registrations will show.

Can I reactivate an advert after it has ended?

Once your advert has ended, a new ‘Reactivate Advert’ button will show. Selecting this will activate your advert for another 2 weeks.

Please note: Your Student Union can deactivate, archive or remove adverts/types at any time. If you have noticed that an advert(s) has been removed from your student dashboard, your Student Union may have removed or archived the advert/type. You will receive an email if:

  • One of your adverts has been individually deactivated by your Student Union;
  • One of your adverts has been individually reactivated by your Student Union.

Email Notifications

As well as the notifications mentioned throughout this documentation, you may also receive the following emails if your Student Union has enabled them:

  • Once an advert of yours has ended;
  • 3 days prior to your advert ending;
  • When you receive the first interest in one of your adverts.
