Closure
This function allows you to create a list of reasons for closing a case, so you can keep track of the circumstances surrounding your closed cases, including those that may have been closed prior to resolution.
- Click ‘Create Closure’;
- Enter the name of the closure and click ‘Submit’.
Closure Reasons can be ‘Modified’ or ‘Removed’ at any time.
You can create general closure reasons such as ‘Resolved’ or ‘No Contact’.
However, you could also use this function to track certain outcomes of cases in line with their categories when marking them as closed. For example, for a case that that was in relation to an Extension Request, you may wish to create closure reasons called ‘ER – Granted’ and ‘ER – Rejected’.
How do I close a case and add a closure reason?
- Find the correct case within ‘Cases’;
- Select ‘Options’;
- Enter the relevant closure reason from the dropdown at the top of the page;
- Untick the ‘Open’ check box and click ‘Submit’ to save and close the case.
The case will then be archived within the ‘Closed Cases’ tab.
