Deploy an Asset

I want to Deploy an Asset

You are able to deploy specific Assets to relevant members of staff / users via the ‘Deployment’ sub section of Assets. In order to make an Asset deployable, the relevant tick box should be selected when an Asset is logged onto the system.

  1. In SUMS, navigate to the Assets module, and select the ‘Deployment’ sub-section;
  2. To deploy an Asset, select the ‘Modify’ button on the right hand side;
  3. Type in the username of the User and select ‘Submit’;
  4. When the Asset is returned you may then select the ‘Return Asset’ button aside the listed item in this section.

How can I see a list of all Asset deployments and returns?

You can view a full list of all deployments and asset returns within the ‘Assignments’ area of the Assets module, including the:

  1. Asset name;
  2. Tag;
  3. User;
  4. Action:
    1. ‘Out’ if currently assigned to that user;
    2. ‘In’ if returned;
  5. Date – the date the asset was either deployed or returned.
