Manually Adding Candidates to an Election

I want to manually add candidates to an election…

  1. Find the election that you wish to add the candidate to

    • If this is a new election in the ‘Dynamic’ tab, that no other candidates have nominated for/been added to, you will need to click ‘create’ and then selected from the drop down menus which group this student is part of to create the appropriate election

    • If this election is in the current tab, click ‘View’

  2. Scroll down past the ‘Election’, ‘Nominations’ and ‘Voting’ sections to see the table of candidates, with five options along the top

    • Created

    • Submitted

    • Approved

    • Cancelled

    • Add candidate – select this tab

  3. You will be given the option of adding by Object name or Student ID, where you have a Student ID, always use this. For Referendums, the Object Name setting should be used.

  4. Type the Student ID (in the format shown in the light grey text) or Object name in to the text box
  5. Click Submit
  6. This candidate can then be viewed under the ‘Approved’ tab
