Viewing the Results of an Election

I want to view the results of an election…

  1. Once logged onto SUMS click onto “Elections” then “>>Elections” on the left-hand side of the page
  2. Find the election that you wish to view the result of – this may be in the ‘Current ’ or ‘Previous’ tab depending on how long it has been since the election closed (elections move to the previous tab after 24 hours ).

  3. There will be three options on the right-hand side:

    • View

    • Modify

    • Remove

    To view results, click ‘View ’.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the table that lists all candidates

  5. Click ‘View ’ under the ‘Results’ category
  6. This will display a full breakdown of the vote, including overall turnout, method used, number of spoilt votes and date of original calculation. Below the table showing a breakdown of the vote, the winner(s) name(s) will be displayed

Please Note: It is not possible on the SUMS platform to manually add or remove votes from any elections, closed or current. The SUMS team is also unable to add or remove votes via the database in any way.
