Withdrawing a Candidate from an Election

I want to withdraw a candidate from a live or past election…

  1. Find the election that you wish to withdraw a candidate from
  2. Click ‘View’
  3. Scroll down to the table of candidates
  4. Find the candidate you wish to withdraw, click ‘Withdraw’ on the right-hand side next to ‘Manage’

Note: You cannot withdraw a candidate from a past election if doing so will reduce the number of candidates to the same number or less than the positions within that election.

Will the results of a past election be automatically recalculated if a candidate is withdrawn?

Yes, once you have selected for a candidate to be withdrawn from an election that has already ended, you will be taken to the results page where the result will have automatically been recalculated.
