Creating Condiments

Before you create a condiment option, you need to create a product for each option in the condiment group. For example you could create a condiment option for how you want a steak to be cooked. To do this, create a product for each option (rare, medium rare, etc). Set the product price for each item as £0.00 and don’t add anything to the makeup (but make sure you select the option to print in the kitchen). Once you have created each item, go back to the zone main menu.

  • Select the ‘Condiments’ button
  • Click ‘Create Condiment’
  • Enter the name for the Condiment option
  • Enter a minimum and maximum number of selections. For the steak example, the minimum selection would be 1, because the kitchen will need to know how the steak needs to be cooked, and the maximum would also be 1, because it can only be cooked one way
  • Select the products from the list by clicking on them
  • Press Submit

Condiment options can also be used for products that have a price. For example, if you wanted to have the option to add chips to a panini for £1. Create a product called ‘Add Chips’ with a price of £1 and a product makeup of 200g of potato. Then create a condiment with a minimum selection of 0 and a maximum of 1.
