How do I create a Ticket Referral?

Below you will find guidance on how you can create a Ticket Referral. First you will need to view the relevant parent event and navigate to the Products section.

  1. Find the product you would like to create a ticket referral for and select the orange ‘Referrals’ button

  1. Click ‘Create Referral’ and enter:
    1. A Name for your ticket referral (such as ‘Reps’)
    2. A unique Code – you can enter whatever code you like (alphanumerical only). This must be unique and not duplicate a code you may already be using for another ticket referral
    3. Enter the dates you would like your ticket referral to be active. If someone attempts to use a referral link/code outside of these dates, a successful referral will not be logged
  2. Click ‘Submit’ to save your new ticket referral

Your new Ticket Referral will then appear within the table, confirming the name, the code you have created and the status of the referral (active or inactive based on the dates you have entered).

You can modify the details of your referral if ever needed, to adjust the dates or the name of the Ticket Referral.

If you would like to distribute a referral link, you can obtain this link by selecting the orange ‘Generate Link’ button alongside the relevant referral.

This will confirm the link that ticket purchasers can access to purchase their tickets using that referral.

You will see at the end of the link, the code that you have added to the referral is shown. If you ever modify the referral code, you will need to generate a new link by selecting the ‘Generate Link’ option again and distribute this as needed.

How many Ticket Referrals can I have active?

You can create and activate as many Ticket Referral types as you need at any one time, and these can be distributed and used by whomever you wish.

You can simply have one referral for all of your Reps, your Committee Members and Volunteer Officers for all members in these positions to use.

However, if you wanted to conduct a Rep referral scheme and have a referral link/code for each of your Reps that are involved, you can do this as well. It can be used in whatever way you need.
