External Event Ticket Import Tool

An import tool has been created to allow users to import event tickets that have been purchased via an external party (i.e. Ticketmaster, SeeTickets etc…) to enable you to scan attendees into these events.

Once imported, the scanner in the SU App will recognise the codes you have uploaded and will inform your door staff upon scanning a ticket whether the customer has an eligible ticket. This is particularly useful if you have a mixture of tickets purchased through SUMS and another source, so you can utilise just one scanner for your event.

  1. Find the relevant Event within the ‘Events’ module and click ‘View’;
  2. Alongside the relevant event date, click the three dots and select ‘Tickets’;

  1. Click ‘Import Tickets’ to navigate to the external ticket import tool;
  2. Select ‘Example’ to download a blank template to complete;
  3. Enter the hash numbers of each external ticket you wish to import and save the document as a csv. file;
  4. Upload your csv. file and click ‘Submit’ to import the tickets within the document.

You will now be able to scan the tickets you have uploaded via the SUMS EPOS system, recording a full register of attendance for any external events that are held within your venues.

Why has my import errored?

If the file you are attempting to import includes records of tickets that have already been uploaded, this will error and the import will not be completed.

An error will appear confirming which records have been duplicated. These will need to be removed from the csv. and resubmitted to complete.
