Categories, Types & Locations
When adding GOATing feedback, you can select a category, type and location to log additional information relating to the feedback that you are creating.
This guide covers how you can create these various options to select from when adding GOATing feedback.
Categories
Your GOATing categories can be found within the GOATing module, under Categories.
To add a new category:
- Click 'Create Category'
- Enter a name for your new category
- Click 'Submit' to create your new category
Once you have created a category this will be available for selection when creating new GOATing feedback.
You can modify or remove a category at any point up until it is assigned to a piece of GOATing feedback. Once a category has been added to a piece of feedback, you will no longer be able to modify its name, or remove it.
Types
You are able to create types that you can select when creating your GOATing feedback. You can use types to create and log certain information or tags you wish to assign to your feedback.
For example, you may wish to log: - How you have received feedback (e.g. via social media, following a verbal discussion with a student, via an email) - Who received the feedback (e.g. a rep, Student Leader, member of staff)
Your GOATing types can be found within the Feedback section of the GOATing module:
Click Types to view your existing types and create a new type if needed.
When creating your GOATing feedback you will be able to select a type to assign to your feedback.
The type you have selected will be displayed alongside your feedback in the table.

Your locations can also be found in the Feedback section of the GOATing module, alongside Types.
Click this option to view your existing locations and create a new location if needed.
